At Craftsbury Community Care Center, we provide 24/7 residential care for 24 elders in a small, homelike setting in Northern Vermont. Our work is hands-on, collaborative, and deeply connected to the well-being of the residents we serve.

What to expect working at the Care Center

Working here means:

• Participating in a round-the-clock care environment, which may include mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays depending on role

• Supporting team coverage when needed, especially during call-outs, planned time off, or extended absences

• Being open to flexibility and cross-training, with guidance and support provided

The work isn’t always predictable, but it is meaningful. We value people who communicate openly, show up for one another, and take pride in the care they provide.

Current Openings:

Cook (Part-Time)
$18.50 - $22 per hour

Prepare nutritious and appealing meals in accordance with established menus and residents’ prescribed diets, while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys working in a community setting, is comfortable adapting recipes and multitasking, and is willing to support coverage needs as scheduled. Delegated Medication Technician (Per diem)
$19.50 per hour

Provide direct resident care and administer medications under nursing delegation, while supporting residents’ daily living needs and communicating changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff. This role is a good fit for someone who is calm, reliable, attentive to detail, comfortable working with a high level of responsibility, and is willing to support coverage needs as scheduled. Housekeeper (Per diem)
$17 - $19 per hour

Clean resident rooms and common areas, laundry, and assist residents with bathing, from monitoring to full assist. This role is a good fit for someone who is comfortable providing personal care, values maintaining a clean and welcoming home, is attentive to detail, and willing to support coverage needs as scheduled.
